CHILD DENTAL BENEFITS SCHEDULE
Spa Dental is currently participating in Medicare’s Child Dental benefits Schedule. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a children's dental benefit program commencing from 1 January 2014. Children aged between 2-17 years that are eligible for Medicare and in receipt of certain government payments will be eligible.
The CDBS will provide eligible children with up to $1,000 in benefits over two calendar years for basic dental services. In order to provide services for the CDBS, a dental provider must hold general or specialist registration with the Dental Board of Australia and have a Medicare provider number. Services or part of the service may also be provided by an oral health therapist, dental hygienist, dental therapist or dental prosthetist on behalf of a dentist or dental specialist.
