Same eye, no lab wait
Composite veneers use the same eye for proportion and shade as porcelain, but the material is applied and shaped directly onto the tooth in the chair, then cured and polished before you leave. There's no lab, no temporary, and no second appointment, which makes it the right choice when the fix is smaller, the timeline is tighter, or the budget needs to stretch further.

What is a composite veneer?
A composite veneer is a tooth-coloured resin, layered and sculpted directly onto the front of a tooth to close a gap, sharpen a worn edge, mask discolouration, or refine shape. It's closely related to composite bonding, and the two terms are often used interchangeably, the difference is largely one of scale, with veneers typically covering more of the tooth's surface for a fuller cosmetic change.
Because it's shaped by hand rather than fabricated in a lab, the result depends heavily on the dentist's eye. Ours is guided by the same digital smile design process we use for porcelain, so the shape is planned before it's sculpted, not improvised in the moment.
How composite veneers work
Designed, sculpted and polished in a single visit, with no lab wait and no temporary.
Consultation & Design
We assess your smile and agree on the shape, coverage and shade before starting, the same planning discipline as our porcelain cases, just compressed into one visit.
Preparation
Minimal to no enamel reduction is usually needed, which is part of why composite veneers can often be reversed or adjusted later.
Sculpting
Resin is applied in layers and shaped directly onto the tooth, matched to your natural shade and the teeth around it.
Cure & Polish
Each layer is cured under light as it's built, then the finished veneer is polished to a natural sheen and checked against your bite.
Composite veneer pricing
from $880From $880 to $1,250 per tooth, and the price decreases when several teeth are treated in the same appointment.

The amount stated is calculated at the longest repayment period. Most cases are completed in a single appointment, with no lab wait and no temporary.
We plan shape and shade before sculpting, using the same eye we bring to porcelain cases.
A lower per-tooth cost and minimal enamel reduction make composite a lower-stakes way to test a change before considering porcelain.
Composite can be refined, repaired or upgraded to porcelain down the track if your goals change.

Composite Veneers questions? We are glad you asked.
The questions patients ask us most about composite veneers.
Typically 5 to 7 years with good care, though this varies with grinding habits, diet and oral hygiene. They're straightforward to repair or refresh if chipped.
They're more stain-prone than porcelain, particularly with coffee, red wine or smoking. Keeping up regular polishing appointments helps maintain the finish.
No, most cases need minimal to no anaesthetic, since little to no drilling is involved.
Yes. Composite is a common way to trial a change in shape or coverage before committing to porcelain, and the same design plan can guide an upgrade later.
The terms overlap. "Bonding" is often used for smaller, single-tooth fixes such as a chip, while "veneers" typically means a fuller cosmetic reshaping across the visible surface. We'll advise which framing fits your case.
