What is a dental implant?
A dental implant looks, feels and functions like a regular tooth. Fixed permanently in place, so you can eat and smile with total confidence.
Made from titanium, it's the most secure and reliable teeth-replacement solution available today. The nearest thing to having your natural teeth back.
The implant fuses to your jawbone through a process called osseointegration, preserving bone and facial structure instead of the sagging that often follows tooth loss.
A titanium fixture replaces the tooth root in your jaw, then supports one of a few solutions depending on how many teeth you need to replace:
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that integrates perfectly into your gum tissue, just where the root of your tooth would sit. Your implant will look and feel like a normal tooth, and the bone in your jaw stays intact over time. It can even replace a wisdom tooth, though that's not usually necessary.

Dental Implants questions? We are glad you asked.
Considering dental implants? Here are the questions patients ask us most.
Single or multiple implants are $4,900 to $6,500 per fixed tooth replacement, with payment plans from $28 to $73 per week. All-On-X, replacing a full arch with four implants, is from $28,000 per arch, with payment plans from $127 per week. Your full out-of-pocket cost is confirmed at your consultation.
A single implant replaces one missing tooth. An implant-supported bridge can replace up to four teeth in a row. All-On-X replaces an entire arch of teeth with just four implants, giving you a fixed, permanent set of teeth. We'll recommend the right option for your case at your consultation.
Most people are suitable for dental implants; just book a consultation with our team to find out if you are! If you have good oral and physical health, alongside no degenerative bone disorders (like osteoporosis), and no history of gum disease, then chances are that you will be suitable to have dental implants. But, just to be clear, we will also need to know about any medical conditions that you have and any medicine you are taking too, to ensure it doesn't interfere with the implants fusing.
Dental implants need a certain volume of bone to sit in. Bone grafting either helps maintain the bone volume already present, or adds bone to an area of the jaw that's become deficient (a normal result of the body reabsorbing bone after a tooth is removed). This allows successful placement and healing of the implant, and we'll assess whether you need it at your consultation.
No, it isn't; our team will ensure that your mouth is numbed before we begin any surgical treatment. Once you get home and the pain relief has worn off, you may feel something similar to bruising at the implant site, this is normal and should be controllable with over-the-counter pain relief. If it isn't, contact our team without delay.
Typically, fusing of the dental implant to the bone takes between 3-6 months, but this may be longer depending on your age and general health. If there is no sign of significant fusing 12 months after we have fitted the implant, we will opt for a different restorative method.
With good care and regular trips to see our team, dental implants can last up to and over 20 years. So, it's a long-term investment in your smile that is well worth it!
Yes! Dental implants (once fused) simply need twice-daily brushing and flossing and will also need to be reviewed by our dental team every 6 months. Try to refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol as these habits can shorten their lifespan.
