Dentists are busy, and it can be challenging keeping up to date on the best treatment frameworks. Often single tooth dentistry provides a quick fix for patients, but doesn’t treat the underlying cause of the problem, which means we see patients multiple times for the same issue.
A more 'wholistic' approach to diagnosis and treatment can lead to better outcomes for patients.
A good treatment framework will provide a system for use with every patient that will lead to an effective treatment plan. BITE Dentistry in the Netherlands has developed an 11-step approach, based on techniques from the Kois Center in the US, that provides dentists with a diagnostic and treatment plan framework that can be used for every case, whether big or small.
Spa Dental has partnered with BITE Dentistry to offer this training in Australia for the first time. Dentists will be trained in the BITE Dentistry 11-step Approach providing a diagnosis and treatment plan framework for every patient. It works for all cases, giving dentists the confidence to diagnose cases, and explain the patients options before solving their problem.

Willemjin graduated dentistry from the university of Amsterdam (ACTA) in 2011, she followed a variety of education paths to develop different skills in dentistry. She also finished a mba to know more about management and leadership and this gave her a paradigm shift in solving problems. Willemijn completed the full program of John Kois in Seattle to learn more about function and occlusion and she is one the three people in the netherlands who completed the full program. She is an opinion leader for 3m and together with Naomi, she started the academy ‘Bite Functional Dentistry’ for dentists to teach everything they know about diagnostics, function and occlusion.
Naomi graduated from the university of Amsterdam (ACTA) in 2012. She completed a diverse variety of courses to become a very well trained dentist. She finished the program of didier dietschi to fine tune her adhesive skills and finished together with Willemijn the full program of John Kois and the kois center in Seattle and she is the first dentist in the Netherlands who became a kois mentor. Together with Willemijn she teaches other dentists everything they need to know about function and occlusion in their academy ‘Bite Functional Dentistry’.
Naomi works in two different group practices and she receives a lot of referrals from all over the country for full rehabilitations and complex cases. She is also member of the autotransplant team of Rotterdam and Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Graduating from the university of Sydney, sean has over 25 years experience as a practicing dentist and is the owner of 4 practices in Sydney. He has a particular interest in complex rehabilitations, aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics and implants. In addition, as a multiple business owner, he has knowledge and experience with practice management, staff and patient communication and the business of dentistry.
Dr Parsonage has completed programs from eodo (excellence in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics), invisalign, las vegas institute for advanced dental studies, university of Bern and iti (implants), American academy of craniofacial pain (AAUP) and the kois center programs, based in Seattle. He is a current member of the American academy of cosmetic dentistry (AACD), the international team implantology (ITI) and is committed to mentoring work colleagues.
