What is teeth whitening?
Teeth whitening lifts staining and discolouration built up from coffee, tea, red wine, smoking and simple ageing, using a peroxide-based gel activated either by an in-chair light or by wearing a custom tray. It won't change the shape or alignment of a tooth, for that, look at veneers or bonding, but for colour alone, it's the fastest, least invasive cosmetic treatment we offer.

Pro Spa Whitening (In-Chair)
One 90-minute in-chair session using warm blue LED light technology to activate the whitening agents, with an express stain removal, polish, and a complimentary boost of take-home whitening kit included. Built for patients with an event coming up or simply no patience for two weeks of trays.
Pro Home Whitening (Custom Trays)
Includes a 3D scan or mould to make your custom-fit whitening tray, plus 4 syringes of whitening agent. Worn over roughly two weeks for a noticeable, gradual result. A good fit for anyone who'd rather whiten on their own schedule, reading, commuting, before bed.
Pre-Filled Whitening Trays
A more affordable pre-filled alternative to Pro Home Whitening, following the same two-week approach. Pricing for this specific format was not in the practice's official price list, confirm before publishing.

We'll say plainly if whitening alone will get you the result you want, or if worn or chipped teeth mean bonding or veneers should come first.
Concentration and wear time are set to your teeth, not a standard protocol, to keep sensitivity to a minimum.
If whitening reveals gaps or unevenness you'd like addressed too, the same cosmetic dentists can move you into bonding or veneers without starting your story over with someone new.

The questions patients ask us most about teeth whitening.
In-chair results typically hold for 6 to 9 months before a top-up is worth considering; at-home trays are usually topped up every 2 to 3 months, depending on diet and habits like smoking or coffee.
Some patients notice short-term sensitivity to hot or cold, which settles within a day or two. We adjust concentration and wear time to keep this to a minimum.
If you need a result before an event, in-chair whitening is fastest. If you'd rather whiten gradually on your own schedule, custom or pre-filled trays suit better. We'll help you decide at consultation.
No, whitening changes colour only. If shape or evenness bothers you as well, we'll talk you through bonding or veneers alongside whitening.
Whitening gel doesn't change the colour of porcelain veneers or crowns, so existing restorations can end up a different shade to newly whitened natural teeth. We'll flag this at consultation if it applies to you.
