What are veneers?
A veneer is a small covering, or shell, bonded to the front of a cracked, chipped, worn or discoloured tooth to restore how it looks. We work in porcelain, ceramic and composite resin, with bespoke porcelain, crafted in an Australian lab, the most popular for its natural, lasting finish.
Because each veneer is crafted to a plan we design together, they can refine a single tooth or transform a whole smile, concealing chips, cracks and minor gaps and instantly brightening your teeth, all while looking completely natural.
Fitting is straightforward: for a chipped or damaged tooth, we fit the veneer in a short session, then cure and solidify the adhesive under a light to hold it firmly in place. Composite veneers are hand-sculpted directly onto your tooth, right there in the chair. Most veneers are fitted in under an hour, and we often combine them with whitening or Invisalign® for a complete smile transformation.

Veneers questions? We are glad you asked.
Like false nails for your teeth: porcelain veneers deliver instant whitening, no sensitivity-causing bleach required, while concealing chips, cracks and minor gaps. Here's what patients ask us most.
Composite veneers and bonding are $880 to $1,250 per tooth, and the price decreases when several are done in the same appointment. Porcelain veneers are bespoke, with payment plans from $80 per week, and your full out-of-pocket cost is confirmed at your consultation.
Porcelain is the most popular for its natural look and stain resistance and can last over 20 years; it's custom-made in an Australian lab. Composite is hand-sculpted in a single visit and is more affordable. We'll recommend the best option for your goals and budget at your consultation.
The fitting of porcelain veneers is fairly straightforward. Firstly, our team will sand the front of your tooth to make it rougher; this is a minimal amount of abrasion, which will be less than 1/8th of a millimetre. This step is painless but is vital to allow the cement to stick to the tooth. Once we are happy with the texture, we will apply dental cement to the enamel and will gently press on the veneers. Then, once the cement has set to the enamel, the veneers will be affixed in place.
It is unlikely that your porcelain laminates will change colour with time. When comparing porcelain to enamel, enamel is more porous and is thus more capable of staining when exposed to things like coffee, red wine or cigarette smoke. So, when you have porcelain veneers fitted, they can whiten your smile instantly and are a great way to ensure that your teeth stay whiter in the long term. But, your surrounding natural teeth that are not laminated may stain and thus create a disparity in your smile's appearance. If this is a problem for you, talk to our team about whitening options.
No, it is unlikely that your veneers will pop off but there are circumstances that can make this more likely, such as untreated gum disease. Of course, if you are worried that one of your veneers is loose or wobbling, come in and see our team and we will be able to reset it. Simple!
Veneers are easy to look after; you will simply need to attend regular check-ups with our team to ensure that they are firmly in place and you will also need to brush them twice daily, being careful not to press too hard as rubbing too hard against the veneer could dislodge or damage it over time. If you floss, delicately run it around the tooth so it doesn't catch on the porcelain covering, and avoid mouthwash for a few days after your fitting as the chemicals in some brands can damage the covering or dissolve the adhesive. As you can see, they require no real additional change to your oral hygiene regime and this makes them easy to fit around your daily life.
With correct care and hygiene, porcelain veneers can last over 20 years; just be sure to visit our team every 6 months and keep up your dental hygiene routine!
Cost depends on material, number of teeth, and complexity. A single composite veneer sits at one end of the range; a full porcelain smile makeover sits at the other.
Some extras cover contributes toward veneers depending on your fund and level of cover. We recommend checking your policy specifics and bringing them to your consultation.
