Facing 2019 with a brighter smile

New Year came and went, you set resolutions that you, like most people, haven’t acted on and you’re now looking at your diary and wondering how you’ll fit them in. If one of your resolutions was to have more confidence, then your dentist at Spa Dental Sydney can help. In Sydney CBD, tooth whitening is a quick way to enhance your appearance. Our smile speaks volumes about the people we are, signalling that we are approachable, confident and reassured. If you’ve been hiding behind your hair because of discoloured teeth, 2019 is the time to grab the whitening trays and brighten your smile.

Treatments available that provide a brighter smile

Tooth whitening is achieved by an activated whitening agent being applied to your teeth using a tooth tray. We create the trays for you as part of the treatment, creating a bespoke tray that fits snuggly to your teeth, achieving the best possible application of the agent. Only a dental professional can offer this service, ensuring the brightening agent safely works on your teeth.

You can either select in-clinic or at-home application. In clinic, we will activate the agent under a light which dramatically speeds up the lightening process. It means you can come in with yellow teeth and leave several shades lighter. If you’d prefer a more subtle whitening process, you can achieve this with one of our home kits. Our home kits use the same agent and tray, however you will need to apply the agent yourself and wear the tray overnight, over several nights.

Tooth whitening in Sydney CBD; is it for everyone?

Tooth whitening processes only work on some stains. This includes staining that occurs over time from lifestyle choices such as smoking, coffee and some foods. You may also find that some medications have a staining effect. Tooth whitening in Sydney CBD won’t work on all staining as it works on the surface layers of the teeth only. If your enamel is naturally yellow or there are deep stains inside the teeth, tooth whitening isn’t for you. If this is the case, we can recommend other treatments that can still enhance the look of your teeth such as veneers, achieving the same look.
